About Us
Amy Iamundo is the elementary school counselor at the United Nations International School in New York City. She created Can-Do Parenting at the urging of UNIS’s parent community. Amy’s parent workshops received such positive feedback and support that she began to take her counseling strategies and wisdom beyond the campus to help families in the New York Metro area.

Amy works closely with students and parents on a variety of school and family matters. She is known for her proactive approach to counseling children in the elementary grades, ages 5-10. Amy believes that, if parents follow a set of simple, practical, specific guidelines, they can create more harmonious family relationships.

Amy’s 16 years of elementary school experience, as both a counselor and a learning specialist, have provided her with thousands of successful teachable moments, in settings ranging from Manhattan and Rome, Italy to the suburbs of Rockland County, New York.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling and Personnel Services. She is certified in the State of New York.
